Lua Brisa is personal. We think that quality of life is in the details. We love to decorate Lua Brisa. It makes us feel at home.

Bedlinen is called roupa de cama in Portuguese. We bought some new roupa de cama. We love it. White is great when you have a tan.

Master bedroom afternoon nap. It is great, we hardly ever do that. We should take more naps, swim in the ocean more, swim in the pool more when it is dark, go more to the theatre at home, eat less, take more exercise...

Bathroom master bedroom Lua Brisa. It is inside and it is outside. We have 'privileged' in a couple of categories. This bathroom is beyond any category we think.

Ed Rocha is a painter we love. He is from Fortaleza. He paints favela's in an unsentimental way. The alleys are narrow. People can almost touch each other when they reach out from their windows.

How big is the pool, and what's the weather like?

Some people are fact-driven, others need images. How big is your pool, and what's the weather like? We think the pool is huge and the weather is superb, most of the time. How many sunbeds are there? Lua has six sunbeds, if we don't count the hammocks, deck chairs and the lounge couch.

What is Lua Brisa?

'What is Lua Brisa?', we ask our guests. How does this place make so many people happy? Couples, families, long time friends spend quality time here. They tell us it's pure, authentic, minimal chic, and that they feel free. And everybody loves the privacy of the place, not in the middle of nowhere, but in the intimacy of the fishermen's villages of Caponga and Aguas Belas.

My taste

Madelon is complaining about my taste changing. I simply love this wall decoration from Minas Gerais. It tells us about peasant life. The price is a joke, very expensive; Brazilian peasants have great sense of humour.
