Aguas Belas fishermen

In some places, in our opinion most places, tourism has taken over. Not in Aguas Belas and Caponga, thank god! Here the fishermen are doing what they have been doing for ages. You will be impressed by these guys working under difficult circumstances in their tiny jangadas for several days in heavy seas. And you will be thrilled watching them bringing their boats on the beach again, selling their fish from there. You even might want to buy some yourself...

Caponga beach

Lua Brisa is located in Aguas Belas but just a few steps away, really, from the village of Caponga. Caponga is the simple fishermen's village, Aguas Belas is rustic too, but has a slightly more chichi look and feel. Caponga has a few baraka's, little restaurants, a couple of shops, but the fishermen are still ruling. Ruling the waves of Caponga beach...
